Dear Friends and Members of the Mattapan Tech Community:

This year, the Mattapan Tech Annual Fundraising Banquet will be held on June 10, 2012 at the luxurious Generations Function Hall, located at 81 Memorial Drive, Avon, MA. We are inviting you to join us to make this event a great success. The tickets are $50 per person and $90 per couple. Below are some affordable sponsorship packages for businesses and organizations.

Mattapan Tech is a non-profit adult vocational certification school that opens the door of opportunity to low-income individuals who cannot afford the cost of a private career school.  The school serves the entire Greater Boston area.   The student population is currently composed of individuals from 14 different backgrounds, some coming as far as Brocton, Taunton and Lynn.

Thanks to the partnership of a few local businesses and the generosity of religious, community and political leaders last year, we were able to train more than 600 individuals in the areas of PC repair, networking, fiber optic communications, project management, MS Office, basic computers, English as a second language and citizenship.

As a result, many of our graduates have been placed in service and clerical positions.  The school has helped them move from transitional assistance to self-sufficiency.

Besides our core educational programs, Mattapan Tech is also involved in many community projects such as: voter registration, refugee advocacy and providing food and scholarships for more than 100 children in Haiti.

Our goal this year is to raise $100,000 to cover the costs of upgrading our computer lab, perform necessary repairs and make improvements to create a friendly environment for persons with disabilities. With the changes in the technology industry, the lab equipment and software must be changed frequently in order to train the students on the most current aspects in the field.

Again, we are offering the opportunity to businesses and individuals to contribute to the Mattapan/ Greater Technology Learning Center, a comprehensive community job-training program aimed at empowering the residents of the urban communities and fostering hope in a broken society.

We have put together several levels of sponsorship packages to select from :

Platinum:  $5,001 - $10,000 – Includes 2 tables of 10 at the banquet; Name or Name of company mentioned throughout banquet; Full page ad in banquet program book; Name or Name of company posted as sponsors on Mattapan Tech’s website throughout the year and in most marketing materials.
